Understand the benefits of VibroAcoustic Sound Massage (VSM), how it works and why it's important
Stress has notorious and debilitating effects on individuals and entire industries, with instances continuing to rise post-pandemic.
At VibroAcoustics, we are dedicated to exploring innovative solutions to mitigate these impacts. One of our latest studies investigates the benefits of Vibroacoustic Sound Massage (VSM) on user well-being and its measurable effects on the biosignal of speech prosody.
Study in collaboration with SDU
In our study, 40 participants read a text before and after a 45-minute VSM treatment. The readings were analyzed using a multi-parametric acoustic-prosodic approach. The results were promising, showing that VSM treatment positively influenced participants' timbre, pitch, loudness, and pausing in speech. After VSM, participants spoke more deeply, softly, and slowly, indicating a more relaxed state.
These findings demonstrate the potential of VSM to enhance relaxation and well-being, offering practical implications for stress relief.
